I am back!

It has been on my mind to start back blogging. I don't think I am even going to tell anyone to start. ;-) Let's see if after 2 and a half years anyone ever checks this thing. LOL! This is the last picture I have of us all. Not a great one, we are under a waterfall. It was spring 2010 in the mountains. I will see if we can get a better one of us all soon.

There is no way I am going to catch you up on everything in 2 1/2 years. So, I will say Caleb is 9 1/2, Jared is almost 8, Chase is 6, Savannah is 3 1/2 going on 32. She has declared that she is going to be the mommy and I am going to be the Savannah soon.

We are all doing karate at Warriors for Christ. We are enjoying that. Savannah will start her classes in December when she turns 4.

I did my first sprint triathlon. Signed up for another one in a few weeks... I need to swim/bike/run more. I must be sick in the head! I don't know how to do all that I do and train for this. It is something just for me and when I do train I love it. I need to do more. Especially swim.

School started full on this week. It is going to be a character building year for us all this year. However, I received Caleb's test results today - I am impressed at his reading! He is going to be a lawyer or something. We are praying Math just clicks with this new curriculum. However, I see he has already come a long way in a few weeks in it. He started a few weeks ago with Math, Lang. Arts and Bible. I see a lot of improvement!

Jared and Chase are going to do great this year - I hope! Chase is fighting me a bit. He really still wants to be a baby and not do school at all. I hope he grows out of that fast and decides to get competitive with his older brothers. Jared does well, he is a perfectionist but has his head in the clouds. (Can anyone say JASON?!) He will be a musician one day, I just know it. Chase a farmer - just to have cows, lots and lots of cows! There you have it, my predictions on my kids futures.

Savannah's future. Oh my! She needs a husband that understands she was her daddy's princess and 2 of her bothers as well. The 3rd brother, well, they are either best friends or arch enemies. He is going to have to be a great guy to deal with that... :-) She also will be a great mom one day. She loves her babies, making food in her kitchen, sitting on the counter watching me make dinner.

Jason is still at Traveler's. He loves his job. I think he is great at it too. I hope one day he will do a tri with me. He mentioned something about a 1/2 iron man in September next year. I am not sure I am up for that though. I wonder how J will do with one. He is not much in for the running side. I am not great at the swim maybe we should just do a team ;-) Can we both bike though?

I will try to keep up with this more, just a bit at a time.

Caleb turns 7

This was the day of Caleb's birthday - we didn't do much. However, he thought it was a great day. We skipped homeschool - you know when you don't take off MLK day and teacher workdays , you can take off "CALEB DAY" That always makes Caleb happy to "skip" school. He really likes school and usually asks to do more but the days I say are "skip days." He gets excited - why is that?

He wanted a Death Star Cake but this is what I could come up with.

I am sure, I could have done better but he seems happy with it.

Then bowling with his brothers and one friend!

They now have these metal guides that make it easy for a 3 year old to bowl. I don't remember the scores but they all did well and had a blast.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CALEB. I HOPE 7 IS A GREAT YEAR!!

Savannah's "News"

Ok, Savannah took 2 steps a week ago (for Jason). Today, she took 4 steps! I got to see them!! I was SO excited and then....

She was playing with an old cell phone today, she said "hello" as clear as day. She also says "mommy," "dada," waves bye, does the sign for more and banana.

She is always "babbling." Sometimes I am afraid of what she is really saying - I wonder can you dicipline for what you "think" she is saying. I guess, we need to wait till the real words hit but I am very fearful of those words!

Jason and I are going away for the weekend. I am sure that she will start walking more for Aunt Janice.

Sorry no pics on this post...

Jared Yellow Belt Test

Jared took his yellow belt test for Tang Soo Do, January 26, 2008

He surprised us by being attentive and very serious. He answered every question correctly and with a big "YES SIR" "TANG SOO DO, SIR" To the point that he was asked if he was in the military. Jared's answer "I don't know what that means"

Great job, Jared! I am so proud of you!!

Picture Posers

Chase and Savannah like to be in the baby doll bed. Look at those smiles!

Caleb called me to take this picture. They are all on the beanbag chair, bad mommy didn't get the little ones dressed by this time in the morning. Oh well, kodak moments don't always come when the kids all look great.

A few moments later, I walk in for this kodak moment!

Savannah started to notice the bows hanging over her changing table. She babbles, points to the bows and then to her hair...Ok, you want this on....Oh, how cute. We have to have a picture!

Snow Day - (1-16-08)

The boys were playing in their room. When all of a sudden they heard a screech - "Mom, what is it?" - "SNOW" "Daddy said it wouldn't snow this far south?" "well, come look!" We ran around the house trying to find gloves, hats, boots...

Once outside they were having the time of their lives.
After about 30 mins to an hour, the snow turned to COLD rain. By morning it was gone but they had fun for a while.

Playing on the slide with snow on it was really fast!!

Chase catching the flakes!

What a picture of our life, Caleb in the lead, Jared trying to catch up (but happy enough and strong enough to get there in his time). Wait I forgot one, WHERE IS CHASE??? Soon, where is Chase and Savannah but by this picture she was still able to be left in her crib! LOL! She is starting to show her climbing abilities.

"the" tooth and "what drought?"

Caleb at 11am showing off how loose his tooth is.
He really didn't want it pulled!

By 2pm the boys were in the middle of their daily WWF (probably round 3). Jared knocked Caleb in the mouth...I have no clue how the tooth was still in his mouth. I really didn't need to pull it out but it needed a touch to actually come out.
What a big boy!
TOTALLY DIFFERENT TOPIC:

They say GA is in a really bad drought....I say the Army Corp of Eng. made a mistake and let too much water out of Lake Lanier (just my opinion, I am sure there is more to the fact that we are 17 in. short in rain fall this year but the lake is several feet low). Here in Eatonton, GA we are flooded! It was 55 degrees out and the boys are stomping in the water up to their knees. Needless to say there was a warm bath and hot cocoa when they got in from their tromp in the mud.
